⭐ Star Zoo: Perfect 10 Game Rules

⭐ Star Zoo: Perfect 10 Game Rules

🎯 Objective

  • Be the first to build a zoo with exactly 10 points and at least 4 different colors of animals in your land.

📦 Contents

  • 40 Animal Cards
  • 5 Rainbow Panda Cards (3 points each)
  • 30 Feed Cards (5 sets, 6 cards per set, valued 0–5)
  • 1 Duty Manager Card
  • 5 Land Cards

⚙️ Setup

  • 🦁 Choose Your Zoo Land

Each player selects a land & places it in front of you. This will hold your animals.

  • 🌽 Pick Up Your Feed Cards

Each player takes a set of Feed Cards (6 cards, numbered 0–5), and they will be used for bidding cards.

  • 🔀 Shuffle the Animal Deck

Shuffle the 40 Animal Cards and place them face down in a draw pile.

  • 🐼 Prepare the Rainbow Pandas

Set the 5 Rainbow Panda Cards nearby.

  • 💼 Select the First Duty Manager

The youngest player receives the Duty Manager Card and becomes the first Duty Manager.

🎮 Gameplay

Each round consists of the following steps:

1. Reveal a New Animal

The Duty Manager flips the top card of the Animal Deck and places it face up for bidding.

2. Secret Bidding

All players (including the Duty Manager) choose one Feed Card from their hand and place it face down.

3. Reveal Bids

Everyone flips their Feed Card. The player who played the highest value wins the animal. All players discard used Feed Cards.

4. Duty Manager Breaks Ties

If there's a tie for the highest bid, the Duty Manager chooses which tied player receives the animal. If the Duty Manager is in the tie, they may award the card to themselves.

5. Add the Animal to Your Zoo

The winning player takes the Animal Card and chooses their desired animal, then uses a Land Card to cover the unwanted half of the animal card. The visible portion of the Animal Card determines both the animal's color and scoring points.

<If the Animal Card shows an animal type (color) not in your zoo, the winning bidder must take it — even if the star count isn't what they wanted.>

6. Check Land Conditions

If a player's zoo becomes overfilled (total points >10), discard all their animals and take one Rainbow Panda.

If there is no winner, the game continues.

7. Pass the Duty Manager Card

The Duty Manager passes the card to the player on their left. That player becomes the new Duty Manager and starts the next round.

🏆 Winning & Overflow

  • The first player to reach exactly 10 points and have at least 4 different colors in their Land is the winner. You've successfully built the most vibrant and balanced zoo — congratulations!
  • If your total points exceed 10, your zoo collapses from overcrowding! Discard all Animal Cards from your Land and take one Rainbow Panda as a fresh start (counts as 3 points, 1 color).

💡 Clarifications

✦ Animal Color

  • You may only have one animal of each color visible in your Land at a time (including Rainbow Panda).
  • If you win an Animal Card with both animal types (colors) you already have in your Land, you must discard one of your existing animals.

✦ Feed Cards

  • You use each Feed Card once per cycle. After all 6 have been played, you retrieve them back into your hand.

✦ The Rainbow Panda

  • A Rainbow Panda is worth 3 points.
  • It can count as any color not already in your zoo.
  • You can only have one Rainbow Panda in your Land at a time. If you gain a second, discard it.
